Types Of Attributes.

किसी Entity की Properties या Characteristics को Attributes कहा जाता है, तथा Attributes किसी Entity कि विशेषताएं होती हैं। जो एट्रिब्यूट किसी एंटिटी कि पहचान करते हैं वे ”Key Attribute” कहलाते हैं। Attributes  को Elips चिन्ह के द्वारा Represent किया जाता है।
उदाहरण-
Types of Attributes
1. Base Attribute
ऐसे Attribute जिसमें वैल्यू डालना आवश्यक होता है, Base Attribute कहलाता है।
Example – Roll Number, Student I’d, Date of Birth.
2. Derived Attributes
ये वे Attribute होते हैं जिनकी वैल्यू Base Attribute द्वारा निकाली जाती है, अर्थात यह अपनी वैल्यू देने के लिए बेस अटरीब्यूट पर निर्भर रहती है।
Example –Date of Birth, Total Marks, Gross Salary.
3. Atomic Attributes
ऐसे Attributes जिनको और अधिक छोटे भागों में ना तोड़ा जा सके अर्थात जिनका आगे और डिवीजन ना हो सके एटॉमिक Attribute कहलाता है।
Example- Basic Salary, Obtained Marks
4. Composite Attributes
यह ऐसे Attributes होते हैं जिनको और अधिक छोटे भागों में थोड़ा जा सके अर्थात जिनका आगे और डिवीजन हो सके Composite Attributes कहलाता है।
Example- Name, Address.
5. Single Value Attributes
Entity के ऐसे अटरीब्यूट्स जिनमें केवल एक ही वैल्यू Insert किए जा सकते हैं उसे सिंगल वैल्यू Attribute कहा जाता है।
Example- Roll Number, Date of Birth, Obtained Marks 1, Obtained Marks 2
6. Multi Value Attributes
ऐसे Attributes जिनमें एक से अधिक वैल्यू Insert किए जा सकते हैं Multi Value Attribute कहलाता है।
Example- Mobile Number, Hobbies, Reading
7. Null Value Attributes
ऐसा Attribute जिसके किसी एंटिटी के लिए कोई वैल्यू ना हो, तो उसे “Null Attribute” कहते हैं साथ ही ऐसे अटरीब्यूट जिनकी वैल्यू संदेहास्पद हो उसे भी Null Attribute कहते हैं।
Example- Mobile Number.
